nmcn, a construction and infrastructure specialist, has been awarded a main contractor place on two lots of the new NEPO211 Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Works framework.

These are:

  • Lot 7 – Civil Engineering Works £5m to £10m (North East)
  • Lot 10 – Civil Engineering Works £5m to £10m (National)

The framework runs through to March 2025 and sees nmcn in the running to deliver a host of civil engineering work from highways and water infrastructure projects to coastal and river defences and public realm schemes.

Vip Gandhi, Managing Director of nmcn’s Infrastructure business, said: “To secure two positions on this prestigious framework is testament to our team’s commitment and wide-ranging expertise.

“We look forward to the commencement of the framework and our involvement in schemes which will improve the infrastructure of the UK. This is a great opportunity to engage with the local community on local infrastructure issues to improve their lives and leave a lasting legacy”

Laura Kyle, NEPO Category Specialist commented: “The nationally-available solution offers the UK public sector choice, value and expert support when procuring for their civil engineering and infrastructure projects. I am therefore pleased to welcome nmcn plc and look forward to maximising benefits and efficiencies throughout the period of the framework.”

NEPO drives best practice within the construction market. Previously a regional north east framework, NEPO has expanded its reach and now offers opportunities for contractors across three geographical areas – two within the north east and one nationally.

Since 1976, NEPO has worked in partnership with North East local authorities on the strategic procurement of high value goods and services in order to deliver savings, maximise efficiencies and promote best practice.
