hub South West, the public-private partnership of local authorities, NHS, blue light services and numerous leading construction industry Tier 1 building contractors, is inviting ambitious construction industry-related businesses to participate in its twelfth Building for Growth programme, run in partnership with its Tier 1 contractor partners.
The online programme, which will run over eight weeks from Thursday 23 September to Thursday 11 November with eight half day morning sessions, will empower local businesses to learn from business experts, develop relationships with non-competing peer businesses, and engage directly with Tier 1 Contractors.
The programme will cover such topics as Leadership and Management, Business Strategy, Tendering and Procurement, Digital Marketing and Social Media, Cyber Security and Business Finance as well as enabling Ongoing Business Support and Development. Ultimately, Building for Growth will help participating companies build their capability such that they can enter into commercially fulfilling relationships with hub South West’s Tier 1 Contractor partners.
The final session will engage all participants with a series of delegate presentations followed by one-to-one meetings with senior representatives of Tier 1 contractors, after which an informal awards ceremony will be held to announce the Building for Growth champion business by a panel of judges.
Organised in association with North and South Lanarkshire, North, East and South Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway Councils, the Building for Growth programme is conducted by hub South West, with active participation from its Tier 1 building contractor partners including, Morisons, Graham Construction, Morgan Sindall, Ashleigh, BAM, Robertson and Keir.
