Most industries have witnessed some considerable peaks and troughs this year; however, one industry that has continued to thrive under challenging times and consistently demonstrated its robustness, is property. That’s why, this year, the Chartered Institute of Building is proud to recognise some of property’s most hard-working figures; and Storey Homes’ very own Jon Kelly has been shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious, Construction Manager of the Year Awards 2021.
The Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYA) celebrate the achievements of those who inspire, lead and enable the very best delivery of a project in order to produce buildings that have a positive impact on those who use them. Jon impressed the judges with his exceptional standard of work at Storey Homes’ The Place in Kempston – a versatile housing development ranging from apartments and coach houses to three and four- bedroom houses.
Jon comments: “I was thrilled to learn that my work at The Place had been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Building. This year has been difficult for every industry, but thankfully, property has managed to push through and thrive under difficult conditions. It’s been a pleasure working with Storey Homes at The Place, and I take pride in the knowledge that myself and the rest of the team have provided an exceptional standard of living at this site.”
These unique awards were initiated in 1978 by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). During this time, CMYA has been showcasing incredible talent and highlighting the abilities of Construction Managers across the UK every year. An in-depth judging process ensures that the calibre of winners is consistently high, and as a result, the awards have a reputation for identifying the future leaders in the construction industry.
Katy Jordan, Managing Director of Storey Homes, comments: “Here at Storey Homes, we promise to deliver high quality homes at every single one of our developments. Jon is a fantastic representative for Storey Homes, and we’re so pleased that his hard work at The Place has been duly acknowledged. We look forward to seeing the final results in September.”
The official award ceremony will take place on September 29th 2021. A finalist briefing page with important information and the opportunity to share messages of congratulations is available via following link: https://www.cmya.co.uk/finalist-briefing/
