Hill and Marshall will be welcoming Co-op to the local centre at its landmark Marleigh development in Cambridge. To be known as Marleigh Square, the striking new community centre is located at the heart of the development, close to the new school which is currently under construction. In addition to the Co-op store, Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery is due to open early in 2022.  It is anticipated that Marleigh Square will also welcome a cafe, alongside a commercial unit with over 4,300 sq ft of space.

The new Co-op, which will open next year (2022) fronts the Marleigh Road and is opposite the new primary school, making it an ideal spot to pick up groceries before or after school pick up.  The convenience store, will cover over 4,000 sq ft, and include a focus on fresh, healthy products, meal ideas, Fairtrade products, ready meals, free-from, vegan and plant-based products and, everyday essentials.

A funding boost is also provided locally through Co-op’s Membership programme. Membership of the Co-op unlocks additional value through in-store offers and, sees Members rewarded with 2p in every pound they spend on Co-op branded products which is added to their own personal Membership account balance. The Co-op also donates the same amount to local causes.
